2024 Bay Invasion Tour Routes & Itineraries
SATURDAY ITINERARY
As usual we will be kicking off in Seabrook, NH and cruising backroads to Boothbay Harbor, ME. We will kickoff in the same location as the last couple of years (Seabrook Commons), as there was plenty of places to get gas and grab a quick breakfast if people needed to, before hitting the road.
Once again, our last stop on Saturday (before the hotel), will be to visit our friends at the Boothbay Craft Brewery and Tavern, for some food and drink, along with some fundraising fun. If you joined us last year, you will remember the 50/50 raffle (which the winner MUST keep their share) and the first annual Pint-wood derby race upstairs. Last year the race was just locals, but this year we worked with the brewery owners, so that we can get Rod Run participants involved. There's been lots of info posted about this race on Facebook in previous weeks
First planned stop will be gas stop/bathroom break at about 100 miles in, but that will take us over 2 1/2 hours to drive, so make sure you plan accordingly. That will finish our first leg
The first stop of our second leg, will be a stop at the Maine Maritime Museum . This will probably be about an hour visit
3:00PM arrival at Boothbay Craft Brewery. After eating there will be the Pint-wood derby contest. For a $10 entry fee, you can enter your car and get a free drink coupon. 100% of the money raised will go to our charity (the Lymphoma Research Foundation). There are no rules limiting the competition. Last year there was one rocket powered car. There will be assorted prizes for different classes and winners, so get your car ready!
A.I.S. time: 9:00 AM

Important notes:
1) If our crew is small enough this day, there will be another stop added just before step #20 on the directions. It is a fan favorite, but parking is limited, so that's why it will be a game day decision.

About a half hour after leaving the gas stop (which should be after noon time) we will be arriving at the Maine Maritime Museum. The visit will be a little over an hour. Before we enter the museum, we will let everyone know what time they need to be back in their cars, so we can head to the brewery for our late lunch and the second annual pintwood derby. As the brewery is only minutes from the hotel and some people like to hang longer than others, we have no set time leaving for the hotel. Everyone will be going at their own pace for the rest of the day
Important notes:
1) Our planned arrival time at the museum is about 1:15PM
2) Our planned arrival time at Boothbay Craft Brewery is 3:00PM, as that will give them time to open and prepare for our visit
SUNDAY ITINERARY
As it has now become a regular feature to this event, Sunday morning will consist of a short scenic drive of the surrounding area, that will leave plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the day for dining, shopping, boat cruises, etc.
Every year we do a different route, but we have decided to not do that for 2024. Last year's route was a great one, but we had to deal with some rain, so with that and the fact that we had the smallest group of people join us since 2008, we decided to run the same route this time around
A.I.S. time: Between 8:00 AM and 9:00AM that will be determined late on Saturday
SUNDAY ROUTE

Important notes:
1) between directions #7 & #8 route will turn onto 238S after bridge. Directions aren't to clear on that
2) The Saltwater Hillbilly goes on at Brady's restaurant at 2:00PM, if you were with NERR last year, you know this is a LOT of fun, so you might want to plan the rest of your day accordingly
