LODGING:

For the last 17 years we have been telling people, DO NOT WAIT TO LONG TO BOOK YOUR ROOMS. Without fail, every year people think it's not a big deal if they wait and every year people learn, AFTER THE FACT, that they should have taken our advice & I think that hit a new level in 2023, but things worked out well for everyone in 2024

We research our properties and the surrounding area more than most other road trip planners do & we believe the effort shows. While we can't guarantee everything will be perfect, we can say that we minimize the chances of bad things happening.

While this isn't "officially" part of NERR's event, many people usually come in early for this night, so we try to make it easier for them by setting up choices for this night.

We know the last two years there have been a lot of people saying the Friday night hotel choices were to expensive, so we are trying to make sure that we give people plenty of choices this time around

These first two "boutique" hotels are both Marriott properties, while they are the furthest out from Saturday's kickoff, they are both just down the street from Minuteman National Historical Park (see the daily itinerary section of our website). Prices seem to be about average for the area. If you have Marriot points, maybe it will be cheaper for you

www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/bosex-element-lexington/overview/

Next, we have a property that a lot of people stayed at, last time NERR kicked off in this area, but the pricing is crazy, because it's the next town over from Salem and their Halloween festivites. If you're feeling rich, check them out. If you don't like spending ma lot of money, don't even bother clicking

www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/bosdn-residence-inn-boston-north-shore-danvers/overview/

If you want to spend the day in Salem on Friday, these are your two best hotel options, if they have rooms available, but the price is NUTS. We don't expect anyone to stay at either of these two, but put them on here for shits & giggles anyway

Last options we will give, is where we had a few people stay last year, at the Holiday Inn Express in Saugus, MA. while this hotel is nothing special, it has tons of restaurants around it and is only a couple of miles from kickoff. Being close to Salem, pricing can once again be a bit tough. Right across the highway is the Red Roof Inn.

With all these options, your best bets might be the first two we listed, or maybe even places you have stayed for kickoffs at Mt Wachusett (about an hour away from 2025's kickoff location). There are also plenty of hotels in the Peabody, MA and Danvers, MA area (close to kickoff) but the state has filled those with hundreds of illegal immigrants and there are lots of problems in those areas with police visits multiple times a day. Not good places to stay with nice rides

The Anchorage Inn

265 Long Beach Ave, York Beach, Maine 03910

We are good to go!!!

When calling in, you need to mention the Northeast Rod Run block to get the $199 (plus taxes) group rate. YOU MUST CALL HOTEL DIRECTLY TO GET THE RATE!

Our block includes 5 single king rooms and the rest are double queens. The rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the main building, so those with ocean views should be pretty nice.

Last year this property had issues with another car group and instituted new rules because of those issues (loud yelling, revving engines and burnouts) and were hesitant to book another car group, but because of our reputation they were ok with booking us. As a group that raises money for cancer research and our affiliation with LRF, it does help us getting into properties that otherwise might be off the table for other car groups. Having respectful people in our group is a HUGE asset for NERR.

30 days prior to our arrival, any remaining rooms will be released from our block. Anyone wanting to book a room will be paying the full current rate, at that time IF rooms are still available. I see us selling out our block well before then though.

Riverwalk Resort

22 South Mountain Drive, PO Box 69, Lincoln, NH 03251

603-745-7500 www.riverwalkresortatloon.com

When calling in, just the Northeast Rod Run block to get the $247 (plus taxes) group rate. YOU MUST CALL HOTEL DIRECTLY TO GET THE RATE!

We were able to secure 40 studio rooms for our block. That is the most we've been able to get at one location, in quite a few years, but judging by the early interest this year, it looks like we might need every one of them.

As with most properties, 30 days prior to our arrival, any remaining rooms will be released from our block. Anyone wanting to book a room will be paying the full current rate, at that time IF rooms are still available.

Best Western

www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotels-in-ticonderoga/best-western-plus-ticonderoga-inn-suites/propertyCode.33138.html

AS OF 12-21-24 THERE ARE ONLY 5 ROOMS LEFT IN OUR BLOCK!!

When calling in, you need to mention the Northeast Rod Run block to get the group rates. YOU MUST CALL HOTEL DIRECTLY TO GET THE RATE!

Our block includes a limited number of single king rooms and the rest are double queens.

The double queen rooms are $209.99/night (plus taxes) and the kings are $219.99/night (plus taxes)

We're not sure if we are going to be able to secure more rooms once these are gone, because the hotel only has 54 total rooms, so don't delay.

Our cutoff date is 9/01/2025 which means that any remaining rooms will be released from our block. Anyone wanting to book a room after that point in time, could end up paying the full current rate, IF rooms are still available. I don't see there being any rooms left by then, because hotels are already hard to find and we're still almost a year away.

Golden Arrow Resort

2559 Main St, Lake Placid, NY 12946

1-800-582-5540 www.golden-arrow.com

We are returning back to a NERR fan favorite, for the first time in a long time. If you've been to this property with us before, you know why it's been such a hit over the years. Happy hour all day for hotel guests doesn't hurt either. They have a night club (we've got some late night stories), restaurant, bar, firepits, hot tub, pool & the Alpine Mall, all onsite.

When calling in, you must mention the group name (Northeast Rod Run) to get the blocked rates

Room Types and Rates (Single/Double)

Lakeside room with 2 queens or King= $219 (plus taxes)
add $10 for triple occupancy or add $20 for quad occupancy

Villageside room with 2 queens or King= $189 (plus taxes)
add $10 for triple occupancy or add $20 for quad occupancy

Cancelation/Change policy

7 Days Prior to arrival. That means that if a room night is to be dropped or a reservation is to be canceled it must be done 7 days prior to the arrival date. Inside of the 7 days that person will still be charged for the dropped night or entire canceled reservation.

Release Date: Thursday, August 7th 2025

After the release date any rooms still being held in the block will be put back into inventory and sold to anyone on the waitlist. If a person calls to make a reservation with the group after the release date, they will pay the going rate for a room not the group rates, IF there are still any available.
